How Desiccant Dehumidifiers Work
Using adsorption, not absorption, desiccant dehumidifiers like the Ebac DD700 employ a Silica Gel wheel and an internal heater to circulate dry air. This process ensures efficient moisture removal and maintains optimal humidity levels without using refrigerants, making it suitable for extremely low temperatures.
High Moisture Removal Rates
In high extraction settings, the DD700 dehumidifier removes 231 pints of moisture per day. The deep drying setting extracts 205 pints per day, while the high-efficiency setting removes 184 pints per day. The unit continues to perform remarkably well even in low humidity and low-temperature conditions.
