Methods of Dehumidification
Dehumidification happens mainly in two ways: Condensation and Adsorption. Refrigeration dehumidifiers use condensation. Desiccant dehumidifiers rely on adsorption. The latter works best in cooler climates and when low humidity is crucial. They function well in freezing temperatures and don't produce extra water.
Here’s how they work:
Air enters the dehumidifier and flows over a Silica Gel-coated wheel that absorbs moisture. Then, dry air exits the unit. As the wheel turns, part of it moves into a regeneration area. Here, heated air passes over the wheel, releasing the trapped moisture. This moist air is then expelled outside. This process ensures ongoing, effective dehumidification.
